Palm Trees for SW Florida

We plant palms in Cape Coral yards every week, and the honest truth is that half the battle is picking the right species for your lot. Canal-front properties get salt spray that will burn a queen palm's fronds, while the same tree does fine three streets inland. Our sandy soil drains fast but is short on magnesium and manganese, which is why so many palms around town have yellowing fronds that a proper fertilizing schedule would fix.

The lineup below covers the palms we actually recommend: foxtails and arecas for most residential lots, sabals and coconuts where hurricanes are the main concern (both rode out Ian better than nearly anything else we'd planted), and statement pieces like Bismarck and Canary Island date palms for larger properties. Small container arecas start around $32 for pickup; field-grown specimens run into the hundreds, every price is listed, so you can plan a budget before you ever talk to us.

Not sure which palm fits your yard? Start with the complete Florida palm guide or call (239) 799-5594 and tell us about your lot, sun exposure, distance from the water, and how much trimming you're willing to do. We'll steer you straight.
